About Us Niclaus Engineering Corporation (NEC) is a “Cinderella” success story of several Stroudsburg, PA area professionals who needed a fresh start to spread their wings and exercise the talent within. NEC is a full service Civil and Environmental Engineering firm with expertise in surveying, site plans and subdivisions. Although incorporated in 1997, most of the employees have roots in Northeast PA and have served the area with engineering and surveying practice since the 1980’s. Multi-purpose computerized CAD stations and Design Work Centers utilize AutoCAD, Auto Desk Land Development Auto Desk Civil, Civil 3D, Haestad Methods Hydaulics, Stormceptor, HEC-1, HEC-2, HEC-RAS, Intelisolve Hydra-Flow, Intelisolve Storm Sewer, Hyrdo CAD and more software applications. Microsoft software suites are used for professional report writing and presentations including Word, Excel, Publisher and Powerpoint. All design work is multi-user friendly and available through email delivery or standard hard copy options.
The staff of NEC consists of licensed professional engineers, licensed land surveyors, graduate environmental scientists, computer/CAD specialists and field technicians. Several employees continually further their education through a liberal tuition and seminar reimbursement program. Likewise, the firm enjoys membership and subscribes to numerous technical associations, trade publications and journals to keep abreast of the latest technical advancements.
